A Typical Fairy

In typical fairy fashion the TOT Fairy has been messing with my stitches....three or four times I had to frog the right side of her skirt....It didn't matter how much time she spent in the cupboard, she just did not learn! I think the cooler weather eventually had her thinking that the cupboard was not the nicest place to be, especially when your only company is dust bunnies....I've made a decent amount of progress over the last couple of weekends and am loving stitching her...and like Shelleen, I can't wait for the weekend!

Everyone is doing a fabulous job on their stitching....Seeing it all has me flicking through my Halloween patterns....

Getting My Spook On

Quaker Halloweens by The Workbasket

It's that time of year when I start thinking all things spooky --- gotta start now if you want to be spooktacular by Oct. 31!

I'm Dee -- new to the group.

I read this blog for awhile and was so inspired by all the great Halloween stitching. I wanted to be part of the fun.

My blog is: Tangled Up in Sticks and String.

I'm looking forward to seeing your projects and your blogs.

Happy Stitching,
Dee

Soooo Close & New Pattern!

We had to be away from home for over a week, and I didn't have much time to stitch, and of course, once we returned, there was a lot to catch up on, which I still haven't done. BUT, I did take a little time each morning to stitch a little bit. And now I am SO close to finishing! I wanted to wait until I was done, to post the photo, but when I'm home, I like to stick to my self made promise to post my progress no matter how much or little.

So, here is my The Giving Sisters. Mr Owl still needs his eyes, and Ms. Witch needs the skirt portion of her dress, and her dainty shoes. This has been a lot of fun to stitch!
I've already picked out my next Halloween project, and have posted it on my personal blog.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful stitchy, perhaps on a witchy, week!

Hey, Kid!

Cross-Eyed Cricket - Hey, Kid!
Silkweaver Karma evenweave
I used flourescent green (purple guy's hair), glow-in-the-dark and regular Dmc floss.
Instead of a star, I stitched a spider on the witch's hat and left the words off the bottom.
I'm thinking about making it into a wall hanging.

Sunday I worked some more on Halloween Fairy. She is fun to stitch !

Ta da!

I woke up early and made LK, if the broom fits into an easel. Here is a picture.

I didn't have enough orange thread to make the cording, but I plan on buying that tonight. So hopefully it will be finished, finished in a couple of days.

A Finish and a WIP

Hey Everone,

Here are a couple of pieces that I have been doing. The first one is a WIP. It is called Pumpkin Patch and from The Prairie Schooler. It is alot of fun to stitch.

The second one is called Pretty Wicked and is from Just Nan. I just have to mount it on the frame board it came with. It was a fast, fun stitch.

Until next time, Happy Halloween Stitching.

April :)

Lizzie Kate's Boo Flip Its

Heres my start after one week. I'm doing mine on Sassys Fabbys 28 ct Desert Sandstorm linen. The picture does NOT do this fabric justic. Very 'spooky' and not overpowering on the overdyed. Her fabrics are lovely by the way if you ever get a chance to use them.

Hey, Kid! WIP

This is Hey, Kid by the Cross Eyed Cricket. The fabric is Karma evenweave by Silkweaver. I'm using Dmc glow-in-the-dark floss for the white parts and flourescent green (which isn't showing up well) for the purple guy's hair.

I have been stitching on Halloween Fairy by Nora Corbett. I did change it a little bit. The Kreinik #4 braid is supposed to be 2 strands stitched over 2 but I thought it looked to bulky so I took it out and did it with 1 strand and I like it much better. Did any of you stitch this and make the change as well?
